Holly Ott

Holly Ott is a professor of operations management at the Bavarian University of Applied Sciences and Management (Hochschule der Bayerischen Wirtschaft), a senior lecturer at Technische Universität München and an adjunct professor at Singapore Management University and IE Business School. She holds a Ph.D. in electrical engineering from the University of Virginia and has worked for twelve years in semiconductor quality and supply chain management in the USA, Europe and Asia for Siemens, Motorola, IBM and Infineon. Her work has been in the areas of device simulation, electrical and reliability testing, and quality and supply chain management and holds a International Association for Six Sigma Certification (IASSC) Certified Lean Six Sigma Green Belt (ICGB). Holly is the program chair for the Singapore Semiconductor Industry Association's Supply Chain Forum and academic director of the TUM Case Center.

Holly would like to particularly thank Marc-David and Laura Bruch for their great help with the first MOOC course preparation in 2015. The DMAIC flow for this MOOC was conceived in collaboration with Dr. Hutwelker, and he has contributed Sessions 9&10 on Six-Sigma.

Martin Grunow 

Martin Grunow is a professor of production and supply chain management at Technische Universität München and an adjunct professor at Technical University Denmark, where he previously held a professorship in Operations Management.  Earlier, he worked at Technical University Berlin and in the R&D department of Degussa, a multinational company producing special chemicals. His research interests are in production and logistics management with a focus on the process, electronics and automotive industries. He has coauthored more than 100 publications amongst others in International Journal of Production Economics, International Journal of Production Research, European Journal of Operational Research, CIRP Annals, Flexible Services and Manufacturing Journal, and OR Spectrum. For the latter two journals, he also acts as an editor. Martin Grunow has been on the program committee and track organizer of more than 30 international conferences and is an associate member of The International Academy of Production Engineering.

REINER HUTWELKER (MOOC CONCEPT DEVELOPMENT, SessionS 9 & 10)

Reiner Hutwelker is  Master Black Belt in Six Sigma and an adjunct professor at Hochschule für angewandte Wissenschaften München and Management Center Innsbruck. He holds a Ph.D. in Psychology from the Rheinische Westfaelische Hochule Aachen and has worked for twenty-five years as a consultant for process improvement in the USA, Europe and Africa for BASF, Infineon, Siemens, Telefonica and Zeiss. His work has been in the areas of incident analysis, continuous process improvement and six sigma. He developed software for the analysis incidents (inRisk), a simulation game for six sigma (codierFabrik), which has been a feature of the QE&M course at TUM and a guideline to implement six sigma projects (sigmaGuide) which is part of this MOOC.

Julius Dillmann

Julius Dillmann is a master student in Management and Technology at Technische Universität München with majors in production engineering and operations and supply chain management. After his bachelor's degree in industrial engineering and management at the University of Hamburg, he worked for a market-leading company in the production of components for fire protection. He continued his work as a student employee during his master studies before gaining practical experience in the research department of BMW.

Marc-David Wagner

Marc-David Wagner is a master student at Technische Universität München and currently working on the edx course as a student employee. He holds a bachelor of science in Management and Technology from the Technische Universität München and has worked in the last years in several different Start-Ups in the business development and logistics, as well as in the development of BMW.
