Types of Assessment

In this course, you will encounter a number of exercises and assessments, some are graded and some are non-graded. 

Your understanding of key concepts of the course material will be assessed through a quiz at the end of each module. These will be in the form of either Multiple Choice or Checkboxes. For the quiz in module 3, Hints and Feedback will be provided if needed. You are allowed to attempt each question 2 times.

The scores you receive in the quizzes at the end of Modules 1, 2 and 4 will contribute to your final course grade.

Grading Policy

Please see the grading policy below outlining your what you assessment score means in the context of this course.

 It's important to remember that this grading is just for your, and our, guidance; you don't actually risk anything by doing the assessed tasks.

A (80-100%)

Outstanding

The learner has demonstrated achievement of  the intended course learning outcomes and course participation in all aspects. 

B (70-79%)

Very Good

The learner has demonstrated achievement of the intended course learning outcomes and course participation in most aspects. 

C (60-69%)

Good

The learner has demonstrated achievement of the intended course learning outcomes and course participation in several aspects.

D (50-59%)

Pass

The learner has demonstrated achievement of the intended course learning outcomes and course participation in some aspects.

E (0-49%)

Unsatisfactory

The learner has not yet demonstrated sufficient achievement of the intended course learning outcomes and/or course participation. 

 

* If you have opted for the certificate pathway, this course is marked PASS/FAIL with the minimum grade for a PASS being 50%.
