Course Materials Overview

This page provides an outline of the course materials available for purchase for the HarvardX BUS5.1x Innovating in Healthcare course. This course contains a mix of free and purchasable content, with purchasable materials comprised of both strongly recommended and optional items.

The first three case studies in this course (Battle of the Bulge, Vitalia Franchise, and Phreesia: The Patient Check-In Company) are provided to you online, free of charge, and will expire at the conclusion of the course. You access these from the Courseware page of the course. You may then choose to procure PDF versions of these three cases as well as the entire strongly recommended and optional reading list by purchasing a coursepack from Harvard Business Publishing. The link to purchase the coursepack, as well as instructions on how to purchase, are included below. When purchasing the coursepack, you will be required to purchase all strongly recommended items and can then selectively choose to purchase any optional items.

If you choose only the strongly recommended items (and no optional items), your total will be $26.14. Please note, that although these items are not necessary for the large, open course, we strongly recommend them. If you purchase all items (including every optional item), your total will be $54.84.

Below are detailed instructions on the registration and purchase process.

 

1. When you click on the link above, the page below will open in a new tab. Choose "Register Now."  Please use the same email address you used to register on edx.org. If you use a different email address, please let us know by emailing harbus5x@gmail.com with your edx.org email and the email you use to register for the coursepack. If you are a registered educator with Harvard Business Publishing, please register as a new student in order to access this Coursepack.

 

2. We suggest that you register using the email address you used to register for edx.org. For the other dropdowns, see our suggestions below.

 

 

3. Once registered, you will see the coursepack created for BUS5.1x: Innovating in Health Care. You can click on each item to get more details. The coursepack is offered at a discount. You must purchase all of the required materials, and can choose to purchase optional materials individually.

 

 

Please note that optional materials are set at quantity "1" as default.

 

If you do not wish to purchase the optional items, toggle quantity to "0."
