Write for Rights 2015
When: Throughout December 2015 YOU can write a letter and change a life. We’re asking everyone around the world to change the lives of 12 cases we’re working on - and we know from past successes that we have changed lives!
Where: You can be anywhere in the world at that time, all you need to do is take action with 1, 5, or all 12 of the cases below. You can also download the information pack for information on where to send your letters.

1. UNTERSTÜTZE FRED & YVES
Fred Makwambala und Fred Bauma sind Aktivisten der Jugendplattform Filimbi. Sie setzen sich für mehr Demokratie im Kongo ein. Bei einer Pressekonferenz in Kinshasa, wo die Plattform offiziell vorgestellt wurde, wurden sie verhaftet. Es besteht große Gefahr, dass sie zum Tode verurteilt werden.
Fred und Yves haben zu ihren Freunden gesagt, dass sie ihren Traum von einem anderen, bessern Kongo niemals aufgeben werden. Jede Aktion, die ihre Vision unterstützt bedeutet ihnen sehr viel.
Wir wollen ein kurzes Video produzieren und damit unsere Solidarität zum Ausdruck bringen.

Kom in actie tijdens Amnesty’s Schrijfmarathon Op een paar honderd plaatsen in Nederland schrijven mensen op 10 december, de Dag van de Rechten van de Mens, 24 uur lang brieven voor slachtoffers van mensenrechtenschendingen.

Ihmisoikeuksien päivän Kirjeitä vapaudelle -ilta
Tule kanssamme nostamaan malja ihmisoikeuksien päivän kunniaksi ja osallistumaan Amnestyn Kirjeitä vapaudelle -kampanjaan! Kokoonnumme torstaina 10.12. Bar Dubrovnikiin (Eerikinkatu 11) klo 17-19 kuuntelemaan erinomaista musiikkia ja nauttimaan hyvästä seurasta. Musiikista vastaavat Jimi Tenor ja Viitasen Piia. Tilaisuus on avoin kaikille.

Amnesty International Togo organise dans le cadre de "Ecrire pour les droits" un concert de musique dénommé, "Concert des droits de l'homme". Pas besoin de s'enregistrer, l'entrée est libre et gratuite.

Human Rights Day Carnival - Human Rights in Central
Various human rights groups in town will be celebrating human rights day together. Amnesty Hong Kong will be hosting a letter writing booth to demand release of student activist Phyoe Phyoe Aung.

Take part in the international campaign Write for Rights (called Skriv för frihet in Sweden). Campaign activities will take place at several different locations all over the country and you can read more about what's going on in the calendar.

Amnesty action space in Berlin
To mark Human Rights Day 2015 Amnesty Berlin-Brandenburg offers a temporary action space in Berlin from the 5th to the 13th of December. Among other things activists offer workshops about human rights and letter writing sessions for school classes. Interested teachers can send an email in order to make an appointment (aktionen@amnesty-bb.de).
Besides the possibility to learn a lot about human rights, visitors also have the chance to see the exhibition 'Refugees draw their life. Pictures from the Berlin-Moabit.' Berlin based cartoonists Jana Kreisl and Ali Fitzgerald offer drawing workshops for refugees and thus provide them with a powerful tool for self-expression. They give a voice to the voiceless.
