Here you will find answers to frequently asked questions from participants that we receive through Facebook, email and the discussion forum.

1.  LIVE SESSION:

I cannot attend the Live Session. How can I take part?

You can submit and upvote questions on the discussion forum. The session will be recorded and made available for those who cannot attend.

2. CERTIFICATION:

I understand that for a Verified Certificate from edx you need to pay $49 but there is another option for certificates for free. Can you clarify this please?

Participants who earn a passing grade can chose to receive a certificate. The certificates are issued by edX from Amnesty InternationalX, signed by Amnesty International's Salil Shetty, Secretary General, and Barbara Weber, Director of Human Rights Education.

There are two types of certificates available for this course. The Honor Certificate is free. The Verified Certificate which you can receive after proving your identity is issued at cost of $49.  See the edX Learner's Guide for more information.

3. GRADING: 

Do we have to do written assignments or any kind of exam or testing or is it more like online tutorials and knowledge sharing?

The course contains clearly labelled graded exercises but no written assignments or exam. We encourage discussion and knowledge sharing so we can advance our knowledge together.

4. TECHNICAL SUPPORT:
