Assignments
There are two types of assignments:
- Assignments for practice: These assignments which will help you to assimilate the information and apply what you have learned. There are quizzes with immediate feedback so you can monitor your own progress. There are also assignments where we ask you to work with tools like the Yield Gap Atlas in module
3, or upload photos via our Online Courses app. - Assignments for grading: The assignments of the course which contribute to your final mark can be found at the end of each module under ‘assignments for grading’. They are multiple choice questions about the content per module. Please note that assignments for grading are only available in the verified track.
Exams and Grading (verified only)
As previously mentioned, at the end of each module you will have Assignments for grading, which serve to test your understanding of the course material for that week. There will also be a final exam at the end of the course (Module 6) that will test you on the course as a whole.
The Assignments for grading have the following weight:

For those of you who are taking the course to obtain a Verified Certificate, a minimum grade of 60% is required. The 6 Assignments for grading count for 80% of your overall grade, with the
All modules will be published at once and so will the Assignments for grading. The deadline for completion of all the Assignments for grading is the closing date for the course. In other words, you may choose to complete the Assignments for grading of Module 1 at the very end, if you wish. However, we would advise you to complete the assignments and final exam as you move your way through the course.
Below you find the important dates for this courses. These are solid deadlines and cannot be extended. Please be aware that edX® might show you suggested deadlines too. These are meant as a reminder to keep you on track with the course materials. But you are free to take the course at a pace that suits you, as long as you observe the deadlines below.

Attention! Submitting your essay for the final exam (peer review) will only be open until 19 October 2021 (17:00:00 UTC/GMT). Reviewing others will be open until 26 October 2021 (17:00:00 UTC/GMT). You need to review at least 3 others to complete the assignment and be graded. Feel free to review more if you can.
