Cost Savings

A student asked a question that caused me to realize that I have never shared the financial advantage of this joint UMUC / edX MicroMasters (MM).
Here's the math:

The Costs:

4 Verified Certificates in the MicroMasters in Accounting and Financial Management = $249/course X 4 courses = $996

UMUC charges $458 per graduate credit.

The 4 edX Verified certificates would be the equivalent of 12 graduate credits; thus $458 X 12 = $5,496

The Savings:

If you successfully complete all 4 MicroMasters courses, and complete your Master's degree at UMUC, you will save $5,496 - $996 = $4,500!

This MicroMasters (MM) is a huge savings for students who choose to complete the degree upon successful completion of the MM.
