Martin Grunow

Martin Grunow is a professor of production and supply chain management at Technische Universität München and an adjunct professor at Technical University Denmark, where he previously held a professorship in Operations Management.  Earlier, he worked at Technical University Berlin and in the R&D department of Degussa, a multinational company producing special chemicals. His research interests are in production and logistics management with a focus on the process, electronics and automotive industries. He has coauthored more than 100 publications amongst others in International Journal of Production Economics, International Journal of Production Research, European Journal of Operational Research, CIRP Annals, Flexible Services and Manufacturing Journal, and OR Spectrum. For the latter two journals, he also acts as an editor. Martin Grunow has been on the program committee and track organizer of more than 30 international conferences and is an associate member of The International Academy of Production Engineering.

Holly ott

Holly Ott is a professor of industrial engineerng at the Bavarian University of Applied Sciences and Management (Hochschule der Bayerischen Wirtschaft), a senior lecturer in operations management at Technische Universität München and an adjunct professor in operations management at Singapore Management University. She holds a Ph.D. in electrical engineering from the University of Virginia and has worked for twelve years in semiconductor quality and supply chain management in the USA, Europe and Asia for Siemens, Motorola, IBM and Infineon. Her work has been in the areas of device simulation, electrical and reliability testing, and quality and supply chain management.  She is the program chair for the Singapore Semiconductor Industry Association's Supply Chain Forum and academic director of the TUM Case Center. 

Holly would like to particularly thank Marc-David and Laura Bruch for their great help with the course preparation and Reiner Hutwelker. The DMAIC flow for this MOOC was developed in collaboration with Dr. Hutwelker, and he has contributed Sessions 9&10 on Six-Sigma.

REINER HUTWELKER (MOOC CONCEPT DEVELOPMENT, SessionS 9 & 10):

Reiner Hutwelker is  Master Black Belt in Six Sigma and an adjunct professor at Hochschule für angewandte Wissenschaften München and Management Center Innsbruck. He holds a Ph.D. in Psychology from the Rheinische Westfaelische Hochule Aachen and has worked for twenty-five years as a consultant for process improvement in the USA, Europe and Africa for BASF, Infineon, Siemens, Telefonica and Zeiss. His work has been in the areas of incident analysis, continuous process improvement and six sigma. He developed software for the analysis incidents (inRisk), a simulation game for six sigma (codierFabrik), which has been a feature of the QE&M course at TUM and a guideline to implement six sigma projects (sigmaGuide) which is part of this MOOC.

Marc-David Wagner is a master student at Technische Universität München and currently working on the edx course as a student employee. He holds a bachelor of science in Management and Technology from the Technische Universität München and has worked in the last years in several different Start-Ups in the business development and logistics, as well as in the development of BMW.

DanielE oliveria köhn waldheim (COURSE TA)

Daniele Oliveira Köhn Waldheim currently studies in the Master in Management program at the Technische Universität München. She holds a Bachelor in Biomedicine and a Master of Science degree in Psychobiology, both acquired in Brazil. She has previous experience in scientific research and biostatistics.

arjen van cruchten (Course TA)

Arjan van Cruchten is enrolled in the master’s program Operations Management and Logistics at Eindhoven University of Technology (The Netherlands). Currently, Arjan is an exchange student at the Technische Universität München. During his bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering and Management Sciences, he was a research assistant, participated in several organizing committees, and did a 4.5 months internship in China. After his stay in Munich, he will write his master’s thesis in collaboration with the Supply Chain department of a German pharmaceutical company.

Markus Schöbl (MOOC RECORDING, CREATIVE INPUT)

Marcus Schöbl is an engineer for Audiovisual Media and is highly interested in the new and complex field of media technology. Marcus creates things that are more than the sum of their parts and enjoys making technology a bit smarter. His very important part of this course was to build up the state-of-the art MOOC production studio for the Technische Universität München.

Indrajit Mukherjee (DOE Lecture, Practice problemS)

       

Prof Mukherjee is an Associate Professor in the Shailesh J. Mehta School of Management, IIT Bombay, India. He received his Ph.D. from the  Department of Industrial Engineering and Management, Indian Institute of Technology, Kharagpur (India), M.Tech (QR &OR) from Indian Statistical Institute, Kolkata. His research interests are in Manufacturing and Service Quality. His research is reported in many journals, such as European Journal of Operations Research, Computers and Industrial Engineering, Applied Soft Computing, Quality Engineering, Expert Systems with Applications, and Journal of Advance Manufacturing Technology.

Elmar Fedrow (lecture: what is quality)

Elmar Fedrow is a Quality Manager at Infineon Technologies AG and currently driving a Quality Excellence program. Since 15 years he is working within the field of semiconductor Quality Management topics. His various positions included a Quality Engineer for Integrated Circuits, a Quality Manager for Software and System Programs and the Quality Management as the head of a Customer Quality Support team. He holds a Precision- and Micro-Engineering degree from the University of Applied Science Munich and a Master of Business Administration from the Technical University Munich. Elmar Fedrow is a guest speaker in Quality Management at Technical University Munich.

ELVIRA SCHULZE  (TUM MOOC Manager)

Elvira Schulze is a pedagogue with a focus on adult education. She works at the media center of the Technische Universität München, and she advises and trains faculty and staff on the topic of using digital media in higher education such as MOOCs, blended learning scenarios, etc.

ANNA KRUSE  (TUM MOOC Manager)

Anna Kruse works at the media center at the Technische Universität München as a specialist for MOOCs, where she coordinates TUM's MOOC development processes. She previously supported MOOCs and technology-enhanced learning at the Center for New Designs in Learning and Scholarship at Georgetown University in Washington, DC.
 

Radu constantin popa (IT consulting and support)

Radu is a PhD student at the Group for Production and Supply Chain Management at the TUM School of Management. He works on the development of option bundles for the automotive industry. His personal interests include new technologies and gadgets, hiking, swimming and bike riding. He comes originally from Transylvania, Romania.
