Grading Policy
(If you are a learner who wishes to achieve a Certificate - please read the following information very carefully!)
To be eligible for a Verified Certificate - you must achieve 70% and above in all the gradable components of the course,
AND
Opt-in for - or Upgrade to the "Verified" track before April 5, 2019, which gives edX sufficient time to verify your identity and process your payment towards the certificate fee.
Note: edX offers financial assistance to learners who wish to purchase a Verified Certificate, but are unable to afford it!
COURSE ASSESSMENTS
Students' grades are calculated in relation to their participation in the Pre-Course Survey, Post-Course Survey, and Participation Activities, as well as their performance at the End of Module Quizzes.
The End of Module Quiz is the major gradable component. It comprises 8-10 questions that assess your overall understanding of the week's material. There are 9 in total, but only 7 will be considered for your overall grade as the two lowest scores are droppable.
The final grade for the course will be weighted as follows:
- 70% for the End of Module Quizzes,
- 20% for the Module discussion Activities and,
- 5% for the Pre-course Survey and 5% for the Post-course Survey.

NOTE:
All course dates and certificate-related deadlines are listed on the "Course" page when you log back into the course.
We expect all learners to adhere to the edX Honor Code when it comes to the completion of SDG Academy courses.
