Grading Policy
Students will be graded on the End of Module Quizzes, which are available within each module; and for filling up the Pre and Post Course Survey forms.
The final course grade will be weighted as follows: 90% End of Module Quizzes and 10% for Surveys.
All assessments are due by 23:30 UTC (or Co-ordinated Universal Time) on Sunday, 18th November 2018. (this has been corrected from an earlier announcement that said 10th November). You can use this time zone converter to learn what time that is in your time zone.
In order to be eligible to purchase a verified certificate, you must achieve a 70% overall average grade. You may decide to purchase a verified certificate up to 10 days before the course closing date. All course deadlines are clearly mentioned in the right corner of the main Course page. Please be mindful of all of them as we will not be able to accommodate individual requests for extensions!
As a reminder, edX offers financial assistance to learners who wish to purchase the Verified Certificate, but are unable to afford it.
End of Module Quizzes
There are six weekly quizzes that go with each module. All of them have 10 questions each that are in a multiple choice format and each question is equally weighted. Of the six quizzes, your lowest score is will not be counted towards the final grade.
90% of your overall course grade will be based on these quizzes.
The quiz for each module will be available at the same time as the module material (00:00h UTC) and will remain open until the course ends. You can start the quiz at any time and come back to it.
You have two attempts for every question; the number of attempts you use does not affect your score. You can check your individual quiz grades and overall progress in the Progress tab.
Surveys
As we desire to continuously improve our course and place you, the learner, at the heart of it, we eagerly anticipate your feedback. The Pre and Post Course Survey are each worth 5% of your grade (total 10%). Find the question below the survey to answer it and receive credit for your participation!

We expect all learners to adhere to the edX Honor Code when it comes to the completion of SDG Academy courses.
