When discussing beer and the science behind brewing, it is sometimes unavoidable to mention company and brand names in order to illustrate what we are talking about. We do not intend to advertise or promote any of the brands or companies mentioned in this MOOC. Likewise, we do not imply that the brands or companies mentioned endorse our views or course materials.

While we try to be as accurate as possible in describing the different methods used in the beer brewing process, we of course realize that some things differ from country to country, and sometimes even from brewery to brewery. We have tried to give examples of some of the most common methods – if you feel something crucial is missing, we would really appreciate it if you would let us know!
