Karen King

Karen L. King is the Hollis Professor of Divinity at Harvard University in the Divinity School. She received her B.A. in Religious Studies from the University of Montana and her Ph.D. in History of Religions: Ancient Christianity from Brown University.

Sarah Griffis

Sarah Griffis is a doctoral student in New Testament and Early Christianity in the Committee on the Study of Religion at Harvard University.

RYANN TAGLE

Ryann Tagle is the video editor for World Religions Through Their Scriptures, and has been a part of the HarvardX media team for roughly two and a half years. He recently graduated from Emerson College, where he studied Visual and Media Arts and was able to gain experience working in various roles both in on-set production to post-production. While Ryann is devoted to editing, he is deeply interested in exploring new methods of creating video for educational purposes and loves being able to learn more about the world in the process.

RACHEL RUECKERT

Rachel Rueckert is a recent graduate of Boston University where she received a Master’s degree in curriculum development. She is passionate about online learning tools and technological advances that allow individuals across the globe better access to a quality education, such as HarvardX. Rachel worked as a teacher and founding Academic Support Director at an urban high school as a 2012 Teach For America Corps member and has also taught and conducted field research in Ghana, India, Peru, and Thailand. 

Zachary Davis

Zachary Davis works at HarvardX where he focuses on building open online courses in the humanities. Previously at the metaLAB (at) Harvard and the Carnegie Endowment for International Peace, Zachary is a graduate of Brigham Young University, where he majored in International Relations and Philosophy. 

Greg Given

Greg Given is a Ph.D. student in New Testament and Early Christianity at Harvard University. He holds a BA in Religion and Classics from Reed College and a MTS from Harvard Divinity School.

TYLER SCHWALLER

Tyler Schwaller is a doctoral student in New Testament and Early Christianity at Harvard University. He holds a BA in Religion and Women and Gender Studies from Luther College and an MDiv from Harvard Divinity School.

MARGARET Butterfield

Margaret Butterfield is a Ph.D. candidate in New Testament and Early Christianity at Harvard, currently completing her dissertation on the sacred work of widows in early Christian communities. Her research and teaching interests include gender and sexuality in the Greco-Roman world, women in the New Testament and extra-canonical literature, and the intersections of various forms of power in the development of early Christianity, particularly in the formation of bodily practices. She has taught at Harvard and at Smith College. She holds an M.Div. from Harvard Divinity School, and a B.A. in Religious Studies from Yale University. When she is not thinking about her dissertation, Margaret teaches flying trapeze at several circus schools in New England. (No, seriously.)

ERIK NORDBYE

Erik Nordbye is a second year doctoral student at Harvard in the History of Christianity. He studies religion and economics in colonial and early America, with a particular interest in the ways that religious changes shaped habits of work, consumption, and leisure. Erik also holds a Master in Divinity from Harvard Divinity School and BA in Religious Studies from the University of Chicago.

HANNAH JUNG

Hannah Jung is soon to be a Ph.D. student in History. She has a master's degree in Cultural Analysis and Social Theory and a bachelor's degree in Religious Studies.
