Grading & Assignments
In this MOOC you will encounter a number of different assignments. Please note that all graded content is only available for verified learners.
Multiple choice questions
Multiple choice questions can be found throughout the course and allow you to test yourself and practice what you have just learned.
Challenges
Challenges are multiple choice questions on topics relevant to the course that may require use of external resources or are covered in the sections labelled "Optional". They serve to broaden your horizon and stimulate pro-active learning.
Module Exams
Each module will end with a module exam. Combined, the six module exams will account for 80% towards your final grade. The graded section exams are only available to learners in the verified track.
Peer review
In module 6 there is a peer assessment. This assignment will count 20% towards your final grade. You will be asked to review 3 of your peers and your assignment will be reviewed by 2 others as well. This assignment is only available to learners in the verified track.
Personal food quest
In several places in this course will be a personal food quest. A good opportunity to share your experiences with other learners. More information about the personal food quest will follow later.
Grading
For those of you who are taking the course to obtain a Verified Certificate or a Professional Program Certificate, a minimum grade of 60% is required. All the six exams combined, will count 80% towards your final grade. The peer review assignment in module 6 will count 20% towards your final grade.
