Below you find the important dates for this courses. These are solid deadlines and cannot be extended. Please be aware that edX might show you suggested deadlines too. These are meant as a reminder to keep you on track with the course materials. But you are free to take the course at a pace that suits you, as long as you observe the deadlines below.

Grading & Assignments

In this MOOC you will encounter a number of different assignments. Please note that all graded assignments are only part of the verified track

Multiple choice questions

Multiple choice questions can be found throughout the course and allow you to test yourself and practice what you have just learned.

Challenges

Challenges are multiple choice questions on topics relevant to the course that may require use of external resources. They serve to broaden your horizon and stimulate pro-active learning.

Section Exams

Each module will end with a section exam. Each exam will count 10% towards your final grade. The graded section exams are only available to learners in the verified track.

Peer assessment assignment

In module 5 there is a verified only peer assessment. This assignment will count 20% towards your final grade. The assignment is only available to learners in the verified track.

Personal food quest

This course contains a personal food quest. As a first assignment for your Personal Food Quest, make a picture of your favourite food or meal. You can also include a short description of the food or meal. 

Grading

For those of you who are taking the course to obtain a Verified Certificate or a Professional Certificate Programme, a minimum grade of 60% is required.
