SCHEDULE

The course is in Self-paced mode. This means that all course content is available from the beginning and that it will continue being available and issuing certificates during a year or more.  The programmed pace is to do one unit per week, which should take you 4 hours a week to complete, but you can do the activities at your own pace .

It also means that the support in forums by the course team will be less than in a synchronous course, so you have to be prepared for longer response times.

You have a midterm exam after week 4 and a final exam the last week, and they will remain open until the closure of the course, programmed for the end of 2017.

COURSE EQUIVALENCE IN HOURS

edX does not currently include equivalent hours on verified certificates.

As in many countries the equivalent number of hours is an important issue for the course to be taken into account in the professional career, from the UPV we have decided to create for this course a document of constancy of hours. The validity of this record of hours is linked to the obtaining of a verified certificate and must accompany it, having no value in itself, as detailed in the evidence itself. This certificate must be requested through the following address: admin@upvx.es

The equivalence of this course is 28 hours (7 weeks x 4 hours per week).

GRADING POLICY

Only the midterm exam and the final exam are graded for the certificate, the questions after each video are there for you to practice and learn, but do not count towards the final grade. Depending on the question you have a different number of attempts to answer each question in midterm and final exam. You will get a certification if your score is 50% or more of the maximum possible score . To calculate the final mark the midterm is weighted 25% and the final exam 75%.
Remember that to get a certification you have to verify your identity and pay a fee.

ACADEMIC POLICY

In this course we abide the "edX Honor Code" that can be read at the end of the edX terms of service
