How to engage with other learners in the course
This course uses Discussions -- so that you can engage with other learners, with instructors, and with the course teaching assistant!
There are a few main ways to use Discussions:
1. Weekly Discussions
Each week, you will have the opportunity to engage with other learners, instructors, and the course teaching assistant around that week's content. Post general impressions about the topic of the module, ask outstanding questions, and converse with fellow learners.
2. Homework Assignments (Modules 2, 4, and 9)
In addition to a general weekly discussion, Modules 2, 4, and 9 included homework assignments that involve a discussion component. To complete the homework, please read the instructions carefully, complete the tasks, and answer any comprehension questions associated with the activity.
3. Course-wide Discussion Forum
There is also a course-wide Discussion Forum, which you can access by clicking "Discussion" at the top of the course screen.
This is the place for you to ask general questions about the course (under "Course Q&A"), or to report technical issues with the platform and ask for assistance ("Technical issues").
3. Pre-Recorded Q&A Sessions
Throughout the course, we will announce Q&A sessions with instructors and guest lecturers. We will ask you to submit your questions in advance by posting them on the Discussion Board. See the Q&A Sessions tab for more information.
