How to engage with other learners in the course
This course uses Discussions -- so that you can engage with your fellow learners and get the most out of your learning!
1. Discussion Prompts
Modules 3, 6, 8, and 10 include discussion prompts that encourages you to engage with other learners around different aspects of the course's content. You are encouraged to respond to other learners' posts in order to create a dialogue. The more you post on the Discussion Boards, the more engaged you and your fellow learners will be!
2. Course-wide Discussions
You can access the Discussion Forum by clicking "Discussion" at the top of the course screen. In addition to the prompts mentioned above, you'll find a "General Course Discussion" where you can discuss anything not specifically mentioned in the prompt. *As this run of the course released in September 2021, we've also included a specific Discussion Board for conversations related to the COVID-19 pandemic.*
If you want to keep track of who is replying to your posts, click the “Discussion” tab and check the box to receive daily digests about new activity on your posts. This is a great way to keep engaged with the course and contribute to a meaningful learning environment!
Your participation is vital to the success of this course, as we know you will learn more by interacting with your peers and colleagues from across the globe!
We expect all learners to adhere to the edX Honor Code when it comes to the access, participation, and completion of all SDG Academy courses.
