How to engage with other learners in the course!
You may have joined this course not only to learn, but also to expand your social and professional networks.
This course uses Discussions— so that you can engage with your fellow learners and get the most out of your learning!
There are two main ways to use Discussions:
1. Discussion-Based Activities
Each week, you will have the opportunity to engage with other learners around that week's content. You are encouraged to respond to other learner's posts in order to create a dialogue. The more you post on the Discussion Boards, the more engaged you and your fellow learners will be! You can find these boards at the sidebar on the right of the page next to selected module sections.
2. Course-wide Discussion Forum
There is also a course-wide Discussion Forum, which you can access by clicking "Discussion" at the top of the course screen. This is where you to ask general questions about the course.
Instructions:
To participate in a discussion, click the discussion icon on the right side of the screen and click the “Add a post” button. After completing your post, click the “Submit” button.
To reply to existing post or topic/prompt, navigate to the list of all posts (you may need to click ‘Back to list’). Click ‘Add a response’ and submit your response.
If you want to keep track of who is replying to your posts, click the “Follow this post” box on your post to hear about new activity. This is a great way to keep engaged with the course and contribute to a meaningful learning environment!
