Michael Shinn Michael Shinn’s diverse career in music reflects his deep passion for performance, education, and entrepreneurship in the arts. He is Chair of Keyboard Studies at The Juilliard School, where he teaches piano, chamber music, piano pedagogy, keyboard skills, and analysis for performers. Dr. Shinn is also on the piano faculty of Juilliard’s Evening Division and serves as Senior Advisor for Educational and Artistic Programs at Juilliard Global Ventures. Together with his wife, Dr. Jessica Shinn, he co-founded and co-directs the pianoSonoma Music Festival. |

Kevin Ahfat Kevin Ahfat is the writer for Piano Preludes: Bach, Chopin and Debussy. Acclaimed as a pianist that "leaves no question about his riveting presentation and technical finesse" (Seattle Times), Canadian-born pianist Kevin Ahfat continues to appear as a multi-faceted solo and chamber artist at venues nationally and internationally. | Yue Fang is the Course Builder and China Communications Specialist for Juilliard Global Ventures. She collaborated closely with subject matter experts and the course production team to produce Music Theory 101, Sharpen Your Piano Artistry, Conquering Performance Anxiety, Piano Preludes: Bach, Chopin and Debussy, and Discovering Instruments of the Orchestra. | Walker Higgins is the Media Production Associate for Juilliard Global Ventures and the Creative Director of Music Theory 101. He studied film at SUNY Purchase and has worked at Juilliard since graduating. A native of Manhattan, whose parents have worked at The Met and MoMA, he’s passionate about making the arts accessible to everyone. | |

| Leah Siepel is the Director of Instructional Design for Juilliard Global Ventures. She collaborated closely with Michael Shinn and the course production team to envision and design Music Theory 101, Sharpen Your Piano Artistry, and How to Listen to Great Orchestral Music. | David Townsend is a multimedia producer by day and an actor by night. David has been working in museums and educational non-profits for over ten years. As an actor he has appeared on Broadway, in many regional theaters, and on television shows such as Boardwalk Empire, The Knick, Daredevil, The Americans, and more. | Jude Vaclavik is the Artistic Producer for Digital Content for Juilliard Global Ventures and the Lead Writer for Music Theory 101. |
