How do I earn a certificate of achievement in this course?
Taking this course is completely free, however, if you want to earn a certificate you must:
- Have a final grade of 65% or higher.
- Pay USD 49.
- Complete successfully the ID verification process of edX.
What is the deadline for completing the coursework?
To obtain a certificate, you must complete the activities and the questionnaires by December 18th, 2020, which is when the course ends. However, the payment has to be done by December 8th, 2020.
What happens if I do not finish the ID verification process or I do not pay the USD 49 before the deadline to do so?
If you do not pay or do not finish the ID verification process of edX, we cannot issue a certificate of achievement. Take into account that you have until December 8th, 2020 to pay and complete the ID verification process.
If I initially choose to audit the course, can I upgrade to a verified certificate afterward?
Yes, you have until December 8th, 2020 to do so.
When and where will my certificate be available?
If you earned at least the minimum score (65%), you can download your certificate from the platform (your dashboard) 2 weeks after the course ends. We will not send the certificate to your home.
Once I have obtained the course certificate, what information do I need to load my PDUs?
If you obtained the verified course certificate you will be able to access 35 technical PDUs. The INDES code as Registered Educational Provider (REP) of the PMI is 3805. You can find the PDUs certificate in the "Course Handouts" section at the Course start page.
Can I change my answer to a question after marking it?
You have two opportunities to answer the multiple-choice questions. You only have one opportunity to mark your answers to the questions verifying your participation in forums and activities.
Why does an image of a pen and notebook appear near the topics menu on the left column of the screen?
That means that there are questions to answer or an evaluation in that unit. You may answer all of the questions for the course until December 18th, 2020, when the course ends. However, remember that you need to make the payment for the certificate by December 8th, 2020.
Will the course materials be accessible after the course ends?
Yes. You will have access to the virtual platform and the course materials after the course ends, but you may not request a certificate at that time. However, the academic resources will be available at all times in my courses section (dashboard) of your edX account.
Will I receive a refund if I change my mind after paying for a verified certificate?
To ask for a refund, please send an email to billing@edx.org. Don't forget to include the order number. Please do not include information about the card number used for the transaction.
