Guest Speakers for Electronic Literature
Jason Nelson
On Thursday, October 22, the digital poet Jason Nelson dropped by my Davidson College electronic literature course via a Google Hangout. My students had just finished Game, Game, Game, and Again Game and Videograph Fictions—the same works we discussed in Week 2 here as part of the Dysfunction theme. We recorded the video, and it's now available in the Week 2 section of the course.
My students had sent Jason a list of questions, but as you'll see, our conversation with Jason was wide-ranging—and funny. Jason sheds some light on the "messiness" of his works and also speaks about his move toward installations and robotics. He also tells several lies about Mark Sample (me!), your D004x professor!
