Here you will find answers to frequently asked questions from participants that we receive through Facebook, email and the discussion forum.

1. CERTIFICATION:

HOW DO I RECEIVE A CERTIFICATE?

Participants can choose to buy a Verified Certificate at a cost of $49. To be eligible to receive a certificate you must receive a passing grade for the course.

The certificates are issued by edX from Amnesty InternationalX, signed by Amnesty International's Salil Shetty, Secretary General, and Barbara Weber, Director of Human Rights Education.

After you have completed all course requirements, a certificate is generated automatically. You do not have to complete any additional steps to obtain your certificate. You will be able to download your certificate on the progress page. See the edX Learner's Guide for more information.

2. GRADING: 

DO WE HAVE TO DO WRITTEN ASSIGNMENTS OR ANY KIND OF EXAM OR TESTING OR IS IT MORE LIKE ONLINE TUTORIALS AND KNOWLEDGE SHARING?

The course contains clearly labelled graded exercises but no written assignments or exam. We encourage discussion and knowledge sharing so we can advance our knowledge together.

3. TECHNICAL SUPPORT:
